A beautiful Chardonnay! Only 15 acres planted with grapes grown in Rutherford (warmer with rich ripe fruit) & Oak Knoll (cooler with fresh acidity in grapes). Pale lemon, with fresh & crisp citrus & stone fruit aromas, no malolactic ferm. Palate shows peach, apple & Asian pear flavors, with lemony & toasty notes, lively acidity & balance with touch of vanilla oak (9 months of French oak aging (25% new & 1-year old, remainder neutral oak). Long finish ending with fruit, spice & biscuit notes. Nice Value!

Really liked this. Balanced, not heavy handed like many Napa chards.

Tasted few times! Only 15 acres planted, grapes grown in Rutherford (warmer rich ripe fruit) & Oak Knoll (cooler with fresh acidity in grapes). Long finish ending with fruit, spice & biscuit notes, more pronounced as wine ages!

The gentle nose shows pear, mixed melons, lemon curb and hint of whipped cream. The palate is textured and lively, with fresh acidity that’s been rounded by a several years of bottle age. The saline touch on the clean finish is lovely.

Lemon, lime, underripe apple, underripe pear. Not too rich, not overly oaked. Great balance and finish. Low ABV (13.5%) a nice change of pace for this region. At $70 CDN, it is expensive but an excellent choice for special occasion like Christmas dinner which it matched nicely with.

Whoa.... no oak no butter. Another citrus crisp Chardonnay. Thanks Matt (stokes). Put it on the menu.

Lively bright Chardonnay. Perfect for those who want ripe fruit but don’t want it to be overpowered with oak.
