The 2016 Uvaggio is gorgeous. Bright, effusive and chiseled, the 2016 is so expressive today. Crushed rose petal, red berry fruit, blood orange and spice are all brightened by lively acids and beams of supporting tannin. I am blown away by how fresh the 2016 is at five years of age. Expressive & aromatic with dusted light cherry, wilted flowers, some undergrowth. Very enticing & fresh & pure.
On the palate this is light yet with bite. A very proper tannic grip yet polished & finely grained. Juicy acidity, surprising freshness for 6y, great purity & a v. long finish. This is really nice!!

This was perfect for pizza and for a crowd. Ruby red, with ripe cherry notes. Accessible tannin and finished juices. This bottle went fast.
