Le Printemps Fleurie Gamay

A little springtime flower patch poking through the wintry weather tonight. Blue and red, musky, floral, crunchy and tart. Not heavy or overripe like other ‘18s I’ve had; drinks like a fleurie. You might call it a...wait for it...snow fleurie. 😎 Ok I apologize

Light framed, pure, just-ripe, blue and red-fruited, a bit minty and herbal. Almost ethereal and excellent on night one. Overnight developed some mousiness on the finish.

Took an afternoon for the natural to blow off and then...voluminous intensity of fruit and texture. Métras is magic. 2018 is magic.

Black cherry, wet soil, slight funk, granite, med body, med + acid 🤪

Outstanding+

Lovely. Very light bodied with subtle black cherry, hints of spice, and a really nice feel of minerality on the palate.

Bit of reduction/funk that took 30 min to blow off, then pure crunchy red fruit and mineral 🤩🍂🍓❤️
