The newest release and first 2012 vintage champagne I’ve tried. It’s very linear at this early stage, still sharp as a tack with high acidity and structure masking a lot of the fruit. Very good potential, but I wouldn’t open for at least 5 more years.

Still a bit sharp, but I did enjoy the complexity and bit of apricot (or maybe it was peach?) amidst the citrusy acidity, this being my first bottle of Belle Époque. Bought this among four bottles I tried over my 40th birthday weekend.

Distinkt autolytisk. Riktigt bra, fint drickmogen nu. Utvecklad med ren bra frukt och många lager.

Lovely light, bright champagne. Acidity masques the fruit a bit, but great nose and body. Good with a rich bite, and a proper chill on the bottle.

Refreshingly dry. Yeasty, tight bubbles. Pear and meyer lemon. Crisp and a wonderful bottle of bubbles.
