Nose has cherry/banana/cotton candy/black currant.
Palate is actually decent, ripe plum, blackberry/banana mashup, faint anise. And yes, light tannins. I'll look ahead to tasting the regular '18 vintage.

Just a fun easy wine! Love this time of year. Red cherries, strawberries, cotton candy and watermelon bubble gum. Med acid, low to zero tannin. Cru preferred, but I think this is always fun. Great for newbies to try. Full expression of carbonic mac. I buy some every year.

Color is red as red can be. Not sure I get the banana, but there is some funky fruit smell for sure. Maybe like over cooked plums. Flavors are fruity and bit like grape or strawberry bubble gum. Cranberry and tart pie cherry is prominent as well. Nicely done and hits the balance pretty nicely.

Disappointed with this annual tradition. Made me think, what happened to my grape juice rather than a distinctive young red. The BN Rose was far superior this year.
