Rich, ripe, dark fruit (plums, juicy blackberries, and dark cherries), cassis, a small touch of baking spice, chewy tannins, finish that lingers forever and ever amen.

Medium garnet; medium intensity aromas of dried black fruit, blackberry, black plum, red apple peel, musty cellar, decaying wet leaves; dry, medium acid, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium plus body, medium intensity flavors consistent with aromas; medium plus finish, flavors decaying a bit, fruit a bit too ripe for structure

Definitely needed to breathe. 30 min later, an outstanding sort-of Bordeaux blend, heavy on the Malbec. Distinct plum, earth notes, with structure and balance. Very well made. Bottle #2.
