The evenings winner, perfect barolo nose, medium everything but where all components act synergistically to create palate art, with mile long finish.

The 2014 Barolo Bricco delle Viole is positively stunning. There are many things about this wine that are super-impressive, but what stands out most is how soft and silky the tannins are. Because of that, the 2014 is much more approachable than it usually is, and yet also conveys the feeling of translucence that is such a signature of this site and wine. I am not sure I have ever tasted a young Bricco delle Viole with this much purity of fruit. The 2014 is total class. Don't miss it. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, February 2018)

Stunning. My first sample of anything from Bricco Delle Viole. Red cherries rose crushed stone mint soft tannins.

Can lay in the basement probably for an additional 5 years. Super delicious, juicy, both dark and red fruits, high acidity, tannins. Lovely Barolo!

I have no problem giving this 2014 barolo (bad vintage supposedly) this high score. This wine ticks the boxes all over the only thing missing is the complexity with aging....could hit 95 or 96 in a few years

All sour cherry and herbs with good acid. Really tight and linear in a good way even after a few hours of decanting.
