Maybe I’m too much of a purist but I find this to be far too Cabernet and French oak dominant. I don’t go to Chianti for that and neither should you.

2015 vintage. Much more than a Chianti, towards the full body. Brilliant color, nose with multiple aroma characteristics. Very balanced. Went excellent with a juicy Picanha steak.

Another great vintage of an outstanding Chianti Classico. (Tignanello’s little brother.). Dark purple color and a bit heavier body than a typical Chianti. Possibly some Cab Sauv blended in? (An Antinori calling card). Aromas and flavors of dark cherry, leather, eucalyptus and chocolate. Beautiful texture and incredible balance. Great vino! Revisited in August 2020. Above notes still apply. Just terrific. Revisited again in July 2023. Still outstanding but the flavors a were not as bright.
