Quite intense and deep colour , ruby centre and quite thin garnet rim . Quite dense and meaty on the nose , darker fruits , liquorice , grafite , crushed rocks and tar . On the palate this is quite strict , with fresh acidity and quite dry , gritty tannins . Black tea , saline liquorice hints , dried herbs , quite serious and classic . This needs time in the glass , or better still 5 years or so , and will last well a further 10 or so
