Winemaker Joseph J. Wagner is a 4th generation winemaker from a family with farming and winemaking roots in the Napa Valley since 1906. Met Joe several times. Deep Ruby with red berry fruit aromas and sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of raspberry and ripe blackberry with sweet oak, cacao and espresso notes. Soft fine tannins perfect acidity and balance long finish ending with mineral character. Nice! A Fav!

A bit young, but did unwind with time. Big strawberries.

This is a nice Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara.

Showing black fruits with tobacco, earth, wood, vanilla, chocolates, barnyard, smoke, spices, coffee and mocha.

Full bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate and very fruity.

Tangy finish with soft tannins.

Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime. Needs a couple of hours to open up properly and show the complexity.

Drinks more like a Syrah blend from California. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. After 3 hours in the decanter, it really feels like a Syrah.

This 5 year old is peaking now.

Aged in French oak barrels for 9 months.

14.7% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$50.

This is a tasty Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara County in California, however it is not drinking like one.

Showing black fruits with chocolate notes, tobacco, cedar, leather, vanilla, licorice, spices and black pepper.

Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.

Good right out of the bottle and much better after 2 hours in the decanter, so be patient.

I had this wine many times before, and it is drinking very nicely as a 5 year old.

Fruit forward and rich, with a bit of RS. Good by itself as a sipping wine.

Winemaker Joseph J. Wagner is a 4th generation winemaker from a family with farming and winemaking roots in the Napa Valley since 1906. Met Joe on his recent trip to CT. Deep Ruby with red berry fruit aromas and sweet spice notes. The palate shows raspberry and jammy blackberry with sweet oak, cacao and espresso notes. Soft tannins and acidity, well balanced, with mineral tones on a lingering finish. Nice!

Excited to try the 16 Clark & Telephone, right after opening it is already good. Let's see how it opens up. A few hours later it is clear that I won't open another 16 until a year from now. Let them sleep...

As solid as the last time I had this bottle. Again, not wowed but enjoying some of the delicate notes of slate and moss that come out with something this balanced. I can taste California!

Pinot time with Belle Glos! Dark ruby red. Soft tannins. Red berries. Faint presence of minerals with a long finish. Cheers🍷
