Poured out garnet, with some purplish hues. Decanted and tasted over two hours. Rich nose of baked black fruits, tobacco, some earthy, dusty characters, and a patina of volatile acidity. Heaps of prune on the palate, though the acidity does provide an impression of fresher sour cherries on the mid-palate. Concentrated and full-bodied, which most on the table commended. Nice tannins that was fine and dusty, at medium-high levels, appearing mostly on the gums (base of teeth). Finished warm, with more maderised fruit, touched by savoury balsamic and meaty notes. Lacking vitality for me, so not a fan - thought it might have been affected by lacklustre storage conditions, but my notes seem consistent with some CT users. Bottle variation has been noted by others.

Yum, so delicious. Great aromatics and flavors going as deep as dark cherry. Nice acidity and a balance of tannins. Great with our meal and afterwards

Nice approachable drink now brunello. Very open fresh wine with dark fruit, touch of plum and tobacco. Very light which may not appeal to hard core brunello fans but I sure I liked it.
