My glass of the day. Can't get much closer to perfection. Cerisse, roze, cocao, cinamon, leather and some yoghurt. Soft smooth tanine. fresh acids. Everything that needs to be there is there. No aging flaws what so ever. Perhaps the 1983 has a bit more nose, but the flavour is here the match winner.

1982 vintage of this Barbaresco in a vertical dream tasting on 19.5.18
Red brown transparant color. The nose less expressive as the 1983 however in the mouth better balanced. Finish over 2 minutes. Cherries, chocolate and roses for me WOTN. Italy became Worldchampion (Still see Marco Tardelli running) and Gaja created this masterpiece......

Dark ruby, gorgeous color. Overall — very youthful, Very interesting nose with some medicine, lilies, truffle, nail polish, overripe apple. Palate is outstanding: gracefully tannic, very fruit forward and long. One of the better Gajas I've tried.
