Mixed dark wild berries, herbs, spice, sweet tar and a touch of black olive nose. Fruit are ripe, juicy and somewhat lean yet thick and big. Start lean and move to big. Black cassis, dark raspberries & cherries, strawberries on the edges, sweet tar, spice, black tea, used leather, cedar, graphite, lead pencil shavings, moist forest floor, black licorice anise, granulated edgy dark minerals, good acidity and a round dark ripe juicy fruit finish.

Great with a Wago steak. I decanted for 1 hour.

Insignia never disappoint but the 2014 is particularly delicious, nuanced and built for the long haul. As good as it now, I can't wait to see how good this vintage gets in 10-15 years

So approachable already. Cant nail anything wrong with it. That's usually a sign of a phenomenal wine. But the opulence of a couple other wines have me leaning towards them. Just my preference.
