Deep and complex. Gnarly slightly wild fruit. Earthiness, intense and yet reduced. While not the best bottle of this I’ve had it’s still pretty amazing stuff. A long life ahead

Pretty close to perfection

Spectacular vintage though I am still trying to guess decant time. This one was decanted 90 minutes and drunk over the next three hours. Tastes as similar as prior. Takes time to expose its wondrous complexity! Next time will decant three hours

My good friend JK always said when you open a 89 HB it usually will be the best wine in the room. This was the case!

Mycket mognad man samtidigt en fin ”sidenkänsla” här. Bara druckit vinet ungt innan men stilen känns igen. En klar favorit i Bordeauxs finare sortiment.

gaaaawwwwwwdddd. shining happy person reporting in on this shiny happy '89 HB. Marvelous. as far as i know (to date) this is the best HB to date. And this specific bottle of '89 HB is the best (to date for me) for certain. daaang.
