Pale to medium garnet red. Love the complexity on the nose, loaded with cranberries and layered with slightly tart cherries, wet rose petals, rhubarb, tobacco and a little earthy. Moderate plus acidity (7.5/10) with a light to medium body. Quite a bit of minerality and lots of bright red berries (cherries, cranberries). Excellent structure and balance throughout. Some slight earthiness in the long finish, it feels like it never needs. Definitely a brighter, and lighter Pinot Noir with quite a bit of acidity and complexity throughout. Does well with a nice decant and no rush on opening now. Drink till 2024.

Pure class here; feminine; pale in color and clear; cranberry, light strawberry, roses, minerality; restrained and elegant; no rough edges and nice acidity. Excellent QPR.

Cranberry, cherry, marionberry, mineral, sous bois. Med body, med + acid, but ripe fruit and not at all austere. Something for both CA Pinot and Burgundy fans.

Balance. Cranberry, tart cherry, herbs, absolutely wonderful Pinot Noir! I'm so happy I took a chance on Michael Sterling's inaugural offering. I'll be back for more.

Appearance is very pale dark blush - serious earthiness on the nose along with a perfumed cranberry note - balanced structure and acidity that calms a bit over 30-45 minutes in the glass or decanter - very much a Willamette essence of fragrant bright red fruit and mushroom or dried herbs, but feels like it is slightly pulled in the direction of a warm climate Pinot (not quite Cali); makes me wonder where the grapes are sourced, but would guess near or south of Eola-Amity region. Loved it and thoroughly enjoyed interactions with the winemaker through ordering.
