Lovely. White peach, eucalyptus, rose, raw almond, green papaya and green olive with an ever-so oily texture. If I had to compare with old world wines of similar makeup, I’d say this was riper but less mineral. This did not improve on day 2+ the way I’d expected it to, but I’m still curious to see how it performs with bottle age, as these varieties typically age very well.

2014 @Dan Petroski you knocked it out of the park here. This is the best Italian white varietal based wine I have had outside Collio-Friulli (were the best Italian whites are from of course). Many times in CA the elegant white grape based wines have a texture that is thick and the fruit even in the best cases a little too sweet, for my tastes you got that balance right on this one Dan. Excellent wine!
