Palate has rich berry fruit flavors, baked cherry, with tobacco, cacao & subtle spice. Soft tannins, long finish ending with seductive earthy tones. Nice, aged well!

Very good Brunello, lots of structure. Considering the price, not really worth 80 bucks though. The Brunello value problem again. A Napa cab (Pine Ridge, $50) won the day in our blind tasting.

This really hit the spot for me. Restrained and elegant like the Gaja, but more depth. Lovely minty, medicinal herb note on the end. Some orange peel? Super fresh. Jumped to the top of my favorite Brunello list with Conti Costanti and Gaja.
