Excellent wine with some fruit mainly strawberries and some earthy elements. Very smooth and integrated with a long finish. Think it would have been a bit better with some time but it was opened and poured.

Typical Barolo (and I love Barolos). Earthy, leather, tobacco, and strawberries. Fine tannins. Decanted for about five hours, popped the cork about two hours before that. Paired beautifully with lamb.

Thanksgiving eve Wilson’s short rib stew 11/24/21 perfect pairing. This is on the more robust side with deeper color earthy dark red fruited balanced nose and firm texture on palate through to finish.
