Deep reddish tawny. Mostly opaque. Rich deep nose. Notes of red fruit and red cherries, wooden desk, tea, some anise and some balsamic vinegar. Rich in the mouth. Nice fruit. Still some decent structure. This is in a good spot. Gave it 4 hrs in the decanter.

This is very distinguished. Plum and dark fruit with spice and tarry fruit. Very relaxed and on point. Elegant, floral and gorgeous. Excellent

Finesse & elegance in the nose. A hint of stinky feet. Fine-grained tannins. Apparently this saw less barrique than the vintages that followed. A pleasant surprise.
