Big bold beautiful wine - it is still the same - I am not sure it will get any better over time - decanted over 2 hours again - subtle hints of blueberries blackberry and cassis. Massive on the palate with extraordinary fruit extract, but no hard edges, and the vintage’s tell-tale velvety tannins, good acidity and terrific freshness and energy - drink em if you got em

Big and brawny, but glides like silk on the palate. Complex flavors of raspberry and cherry 🍒 syrup. Medium-long, mouthwatering finish.

Feb 1st, 2017Love this time of the year when the wine cools the soul and warms the body - this is a big bold beautiful wine that hits the palate with blackberries, raspberry jam, spices and licorice.. This lovely beast captivates all the senses with its sumptuous fruit and amazing balance. - decanted 2 hours - showing a style that both rich and opulent power - we are really smiling tonight

Rarely do I go over the top on ratings but this is very deserving. Just extraordinary in its complexity, balance and profile. Dark and inky in the glass, loads of red and black fruits, cedar and a hint of chocolate. The finish just lingers and the tannins have softened. I'd say this was well worth the wait.

So glad I waited to drink. Just a stunner, writing this several days later. Lots of tannin and acid driving this easily for another 10+ years. Cassis and cedar. Cigar box and sage. Quite a Bordeaux characteristic. Super high around 15% but doesn’t drink it at all. This is an amazing expression of wine if you give it the time to mature.
