Tobacco, black pepper and leather on the nose. Consistent in the mouth. Good persistence; tannins unnoticeable. The fruit seemed to be fading and pruning at first but made a comeback later in the bottle, finishing dry and relatively long.

Riserva. It’s been a while since I’ve reviewed. This sucker, 22 years old - still tannic after all these years. Cobwebs. Improving rapidly. Surprisingly great primary flavors, in addition to the tannins.
