Just a killer wine! Rustic, broad and beautiful. With age this is really starting to shine with some leather and blood in the nose. Lots of animale and dark fruit. Excellent and very much in the Gaja style

Just what it should be. Tar & roses, medium weight, nice bitter finish.

Big full bodied red from Gaja. The 1998 stands out here at start of our wine dinner at Il Villagio. Great night with friends. Brought by Henry. Big chewy tannins with bright cherry and blackberries. Rich and powerful. Great start to Monday night wine dinner. Bravo HC

Beautiful mellow dry tannins. Nice cherry fruit. Paired perfectly with dry aged steak. Still full of life for a 1998 vintage. Could easily go another 10 years. My first Gaja but not my last.

Thought it might’ve been corked—so very glad it wasn’t.
