Melville
Inox Clone 76 Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay
Clear straw yellow color. Aromas of tropical fruit with sweet lemon/lime and herb nuances. Palate shows juicy lemons and crisp apple flavors. The wine shows good depth, balance, acidity, and finishes with spicy oak.

Dec 22nd, 2015The 2013 vintage of Melville's all stainless steel chardonnay. Steely acidity, this wine is like a CA version of a premier cru Chablis. Very tight temperature window to balance fruit and acidity, I suspect this needs 1-2 more years in the cellar to integrate. Good wine now, but could be great in a couple of years.
