While no doubt a young La La, 2007 La Turque is fabulous tonight, wafting layers of violets, campfire smoke, black olive, smoked meats and deep dark fruit. It’s multidimensional palate is seriously concentrated, yet simultaneously shows elegance and lift, all leading to its long, silky finish. In a great spot but also with many years ahead.

Feb 25th, 2023Wow! What a powerhouse and such a baby. Decanted for 1.5 hours+ and delightful. The nose was rich with potpourri and medium dark/lighter fruits. Palate was tasty but closed down and wound tight. This is straight from the Domaine so it's youth could partially blamed on that.

2007 at the Nederlanden in vreeland. Smookey spicey nose a bit chemical. Quite round mouthfeel with a tannic end. Still way too young. Great effort but in 2007 it should have been grand effort and it isn't.

Very dense. Soupy. Almost painfully contracted. Wood, focused fruit. This was decanted for a day. Way too young but clearly great potential.... If it can overcome the wood
