Paul Jaboulet Aîné
La Chapelle Hermitage Syrah
Aromatic and dense, couldn't get past all the cracked pepper. Probably a better pair with a hunk of meat, rather than a burrito.

1 person found it helpfulSep 4th, 2015I have been sitting on this awhile so I was looking forward to trying this style. Not yet enjoyed this wine before. I liked it but didn’t love it. Peppery and with clear but mellow meat notes. It was solid and I suspect would have been better with a more appropriate food pairing (I had a homemade turkey burger with it). Will look forward to the next time.

Outstanding! Dark black and red fruits, spice, iodine nose. Mouthfeel is delicious.

Nov 7th, 2015An absolute masterpiece! It has a very spicy nose with a note of jalapeño. It has a massive and complex flavor with pepper, leather, and blackberries. It will only get better with time.
