Boom! From the 1st sniff you knew this was special. This is all about layers of complexity on the nose and palate . Yet with all of that complexity it drank younger than you might have expected. I will treasure the few bottles I have left and be envious of those who were wise to have bought magnums.

Lemon, apple, yellow flowers. A beautiful sweet midpalate with really refined fruit. More fruit than austere structure but very pretty and delicious. Refined and long and gorgeous. In a lovely place right now.

Light gold. Active and steady beads of bubbles in the glass. Youthful nose. Notes of citrus, lemon curd, wet river stones, some bread yeast and some almond paste. Creamy. This is still youthful but oh so good.

A great nose. Poised lemon, lime, slate and light floral notes. The palate has great fruit- citrus and mellow sweetness. No significant secondary notes yet but great freshness and balance. Years ahead but very good now.
