Côtes du Jura Savagnin

A blend of Pinot Noir, Trousseau and Poulsard, all grown in a high-elevation alpine vineyard. Stylistically, the Jean Bourdy Côtes Du Jura Rouge 2009 is a nod to Burgundy, yet it also is a unique expression of terroir. Translucent cranberry in the glass, with delicate, ethereal aromas of underbrush, dried leaves and rose petals, and a touch of gamey funk. One the palate, firm, ultra-fine tannins are bolstered by bright acidity, high toned red berries and a spicy floral note combined with savoury herbs on the finish.

2009. Reduction highlights the piercing minerality. Makes your eyes water (limestone tears of joy!). Garam masala, ocean water, bruised apple, Marcona almond. Ridiculous length. What a treat!

Baby château chalon. Really energetic with wooly apricot/banana skin action. Sexy.

Silky texture with flavors of juicy red berries and mouth-watering acidity. Underlying aromas of truffles and saddle leather

Activated all the nodes. Crisp and bright up front with apples and stone fruit and a funky almond midpalate. Very fun wine that deftly split the difference between uni, shrimp and lamb neck. Thanks @Todd Abrams

Oxidative white. Very intense and bizarre cellar and nutty assertiveness. Maybe one day I'll like this but it's stanly and not for me. 2009 vintage
