I don’t have a stellar track record when it comes to drinking rock star Bordeaux. The hype always lurks, even though I served this blind to my homie. Interestingly, it’s a sweet wine with layers of cedar interspersed with ribbons of gorgeous red and some black fruits, especially high toned cassis. Great intensity of course & felt the tannins were well integrated at 12years. Clearly the mono-sweetness would transition to tertiary flavors with age, but with life so precious these days, I wasn’t waiting.

Believe the hype! This was a very complete wine that seemed like it would telescope it's way to a very long life and be enjoyable every step of the way. If that's the case more 2009 will be drunk sooner by more people increasing demand, reducing supply and actually increase prices. Don't get me wrong this is a youngster and will be better in 10 years but from what I have experienced I have not had one 2009 that was shut down. It was flat out delicious, a special wine and the best ever for me in my limited CB experience.
