Oh boy! So gorgeous. A Caitlin Jenner wine, if you get my drift. Feminine with muscles. :)

Initially great mint and menthol nose plus dried tobacco leaf and cedar overtones on nose, palate and finish. Fades however.

1998 vintage. Decanted and tasted over the course of two hours. Upper shoulder fill with good (not great) cork. Desired and anticipated "funk" in the nose throughout enjoyment. That light-medium L'Evangile body...the Burgundy of Pomerol. Usual spice box, cloves, tobacco and dust flavors coming in loud and clear with plenty of punch. In a great place currently. Don't see this improving but easily holding firm for another decade. It was ready steady good from the get go and neither gained nor lost anything noticeable during the 2 hour show. 12.8.23.

Another beautifully drinking 98 Right Bank that has an opulent & perfumed nose showing notes of dark fruits, plum, leather, graphite, spice box & tobacco.

Classic Pomerol nose that is polished & balanced showing black & red fruits, plum, cedar, earth, leather, graphite with a hint of bell pepper, vanilla spice & tobacco. Med weight that is just entering its drinking window.

This was pop and pour tonight to prepare us for our visit to the Chateau on Monday. What a lovely wine.! Gained depth and presence with an hour in glass. Subtle, silky, cassis, leather, good grip. Only critique is I’d like a bit more acidity to balance this out.
