Stuffy, stiff, and still young, I feel this is in a weird maturing stage right now. It wants to be bigger but lacks a lot of the depth and power I was hoping for. Dark berries, some flinty soil, super dry and up tight even after decanting for awhile. Light for all that too. Worth trying again in 4-5 years.

A wine that has come into its own without decanting but in a large glass. Full of complexity this Merlot dominant wine is enjoyable with food and also on its own.

2006 seems to be an underrated vintage. Really love what this wine had to offer. Maturing well but still has a long life ahead as well.

The nose showed deep dark fruit. The palate started out thin but continued to put on weight throughout dinner. Dark fruit supported by stiff tannins and it is delicious.

Smell was very unassuming, not defining, almost blah. But Taste was fruit forward with bright red fruit like a punch to the face. A sleeper. Finish was mellow soft and lingering. Nice surprise. Complete opposite taste to the mondot described earlier.

Just maturing, better in five years.
