This is the merlot based wine the first to inspire winemaker Pierre Seillan and Jess Jackson has a very rich and fruit plum and black cherry liqueur like fruit dark chocolate dark tobacco spice Asian spice and fig fruit very complex bouquet. Very dense and rich on the tongue with a smooth and polished texture and layers of fruit spice and earth components through the finish. Finish 50+. Most excellent

Great to celebrate Mother's Day, a wine like a strong matriarch. Full, but tender. Expected to need to decant this bottle, but we enjoyed it quite readily straight from the bottle. Very nice, but not sure if elevated price is totally appropriate. But we made some fond memories and it was great with filet mignon and grilled vegetables.
