Still showing tremendous power 11 years on. Could easily go another 11. Quite tight, needed decanting.

Medium ruby red. Dusty and rich nose with blackberries, minerality, cranberries and baking spices. Medium plus tannins (7/10) and full bodied. A lot more integrated then last time. Layered with dark cherries, graphite, cherry liqueur and some gravel. Drink till 2025. At A Château on 18th.

Medium garnet red. Touch of baking spices on the nose with cinnamon and dark fruits. Moderate tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Big punch mid palate but has layers of dark berries with graphite and gravel in the long finish. Drink till 2025. (92+)

My go to tonight was going to be Altamura, but when they were sold out the waiter recommended this. "Best wine she tasted in awhile". When will I ever stop listening to waiter recommendations.?? Weak finish. Could have used a longer decant, but even after an hour it was still pretty flat.
