Stopped by one of the local wine shops to pick up a few bottles and they opened this for me to try. There is a small bit of chenin Blanc in this which adds a nice dimension. The bubbles were incredibly tiny...some of the smallest I’ve seen. Very crisp and refreshing. No tartness here. Bubbles don’t go forever, but just enough to give some toasted brioche notes on the finish. They told me it was $22...wow.

C mm gold, thin wash legs, long c rim

C m p sulfur leads but clears in 30min lemon pith, dried verbena, white rose, wax

D, mpa but mellowed, soft, ma 12% slight viscosity, m body, plump little core

Mi soft lemon curd, vanilla powder, wax long long long length of unsweetened lemon cream pie. Vg 4 of 5 drink now or in the next 2 years, lovely, still knifelike when paired with a pumpkin sauce, and fresh squash ravioli

The Chenin Blanc adds another dimension to the predominantly Chardonnay based wine. Just right acidity leaves room for flavors to be enjoyed. Enjoyed in Chardonnay glasses, not flutes. Terrific!

70% Chardonnay, 15% Chenin Blanc, 10% Mauzac and 5% Pinot Noir. Méthode Champenoise.
Not quite the "real stuff" but very good for the price (on sale for $10) and very quaffable even for discerning palates I would think.
