The 2018 ‘Sestina’ is a gorgeous blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, and 7% Cabernet Franc. Sourced from some esteemed sites like the Red Willow and Dionysus Vineyards, the wine showcases anise and sagebrush aromatic tones alongside dark currant jelly and shades of black cherry syrup that all meld together. The palate is soft, round and generous, showing a beautiful sense of balance. Ripe blackberry jelly and mocha tones collide with smoky minerals, saline drenched boysenberry and firm tannins holding everything in place. This has a long life ahead of it and try to give this at least another year before consuming. Drink 2022-2041- 94

#wbc18 love this. Big punch on the palate in the best way possible. Grippy. Tar and leather. Superb.

Dark purple mixed with bloody red, hazy, with a bit brownish and dead leaves color on the rim. The nose is beautiful with succulent cherry and strawberry jam, tobacco leaves, awakening leather note, and anise type of spice. The fragrance keeps coming and saturates the nasal cavity. Taste is also superb, with balsamic acids hits you first, slight sweetness of berry comes next. Complexity like earthy notes, tiny touch of graphite, zest, herbs, tobacco leaves, sinks in slowly. Aftertaste of zest, cherry jam note, and a bit milk chocolate, and very mellow in tannins. Probably let her breathe for some minutes, but enjoy her now.

Been too long since I've had a Washington red. This was worth the wait.

If this is "old world", then that term has lost all meaning. This wine is dense and big with good integration. The fruit and osk tannins blend seemlessly in the long finish. Chocolate, berries, vinilla and spice undertones. Exactly what you should expect on an expensive califirnia wine... Except it is Washington
