I liked this but wasn’t blown away. Surprised it got “vino slow” from the Slow wine guide

16/20 (90/100)
Аромат интенсивный, выраженный. Черные ягоды в сахаре, замша, пряности, кардамон. вкус полный строгий сухой. добавляет чайные тона и небольшие оттенки копченостей. Отлично.

Nice nose! Bright ruby color! Big flavor yet balanced! Subtle chocolate in this one. Very good. Tasty tasty. For those about to rock💥

This is probably my first vino nobile ever but I don't feel like I'm in unchartered territories here.
There is a bit of barnyard funk at first, before a big bright juicy cherry note pops in. There is leather and a bit of bacon fat too. The palate is extremely well made, with a great acid backbone, some nice cherry notes, and some caramel touches, a vivid mouthfeel that gives way to some pointy tannins, leaving a drying layer over a very long and complex finish, with fruit and that caramel note too. This is much more leaning toward brunello than chianti, and I like it very much!

Nice montepulciano. A little fruit forward, but is smooth with a slight Smokey taste. We loved the 2012, but the 2015 was not quite as good

Very nice 2012 montepulciano from Italy. Very nice on the nose, dry, smooth and rich tasting. Valentine’s Day at Pignetti’s. Paired with steak. $38
