Very solid & better on day 2-has that grainy tannin thing with a sweet bitter mid palate. Nose of Wild blackberries & blueberries w all the stems. For 13$ & change at my wine shop, now we are talking a form of heaven

Mar 26th, 2018Baked cherries, almond paste, and candle wax. Very full bodied expression of Dolcetto and at 11 years from vintage showed very well despite the presence of tingly spritz. Would've rated a few points higher but I lost my oldest and favoritest corkscrew to the ornery and most evil cork that protected this wine through its life.

Bright plummy fruit and hints of earth and leather, held together with fine tannin, holding up very well.

A great wine with great structure and backbone for what I expected. Needed a little bit to open up surprisingly. Would definitely get again.

Aug 10th, 2016Surprisingly vibrant, with ample fruit balanced by nice grip, I would never guess in a blind tasting that it is 17 years old.
