New grape variety for me, Centesimino. Simple and fruity, juicy. Quite hot, 14.5. Would be nice with some salty meats. — 3 years ago
Chardonnay and Savagnin, 50/50. Opened six days ago, it was a little tight but showing great potential in a compact state, an oxidative, lees infused elixir held together in a crystalline shell. Tonight it is much more expansive, lemon curd and hazelnuts, a fullness and complexity that seems to be unending. So happy for the experience. — 3 years ago
Ripe, but not overripe. Green bell pepper nuanced with Ted and black currant fruit. Fairly supple. — 2 years ago
Cellar orphan. Red licorice, motor oil, cherries, almonds, iron, and red meat. Delicate yet pronounced Tuscan blend of incomparable balance. Delicious, yet sad to see it go. — 3 years ago
Nose focused but subtle. Sour cherry, licorice, roses, and tar. Classic. Beautifully and gently textured with a persistent finish. Just lovely. — 4 years ago
Baked cherries, almond paste, and candle wax. Very full bodied expression of Dolcetto and at 11 years from vintage showed very well despite the presence of tingly spritz. Would've rated a few points higher but I lost my oldest and favoritest corkscrew to the ornery and most evil cork that protected this wine through its life. — 3 years ago
