Vibrant ruby red in color.Chi nose on opening of black cherry tea. Palate confirms the nose adding a touch of tarry jam wrapped in a medium body. Firm but forgiving (medium plus) tannins and bright (medium plus) acidity round out this classic, food loving Burgundy. Makes my Hickory Farms meat and cheese plate sing. Drink now after a decanting or hold until at least 2025.

Heavy browning on the rim. Ok with food, but its best days are behind it.

Elegant. And for once I'm not using the word sarcastically.

2005 vintage. The elegance and structure you'd expect from Nuits Saint Georges: Wet slate, griotte cherries, strawberries crabapple, English breakfast tea, forest floor, moist moss over bark. I only wish there was a little more heft to the body to meet the acid. It would've brought out the lovely concentration of fruit out more, too. Nonetheless, this was most lovely, by itself and also with pork/apples, abalone, buttery lobster and uni, and sole.

Super tasty! Extremely “smooth” with low tannins. A bit of brambles and leather. And plenty of fruit!! Yum

Red Burgundy with hints of earth and tobacco smoke on the nose. Lots of red berries with a bit of graphite on the pallet. Long finish. Still a little “hot.” Needs a bit more bottle age.
