2006 Ken Wright "Nysa Vineyard" Pinot Noir - curiosity got the best of me and had to open it, wish I waited. Took two hours to open up. Great acid, smooth tannins, irony mineral, red cherry, tea and mushroom. Hold for another 5-8 years.

Very deep color. Rich flavor. All the sulfur characteristics have integrated. Awesome expression of Pinot.

Extremely reductive, peanut shells and soy sauce. Did not blow off. Fruit is imperceptible right now. Don't know if that will change.

2003 Pinot Noir, Nysa Vineyard, Ken Wright Cellars. I absolutely adore old pinots. A bouquet of dark chocolate and earthy mushrooms. This unfiltered and very small batch (literally handwritten label) left a bit of sediment in the glass! I live seeing that! 10/10 just wonderful.

Tom Miller 1999 KWC horizontal tasting. #1 of 2nd flight. Chocolate spice box with almond hints. Best nose by far of the lot.

Sadly my last KW - used to buy from a friend in Chicago who is on the mailing list. Scared me, when first opened it smelled heavily of vinegar. An hour later it was just all smooth as can be, ripe berries and cherry. Hints of pepper, orange zest and ripe apple. Yeah, loved this one - very smooth, no tannin bite. 14.4 ABV.

Had this with dinner. Red fruits and earth. Nice balance. Lighter in color. Quite tastey.
