Flinty crushed stone and brown spice give way to dried black cherries as the 2021 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley opens in the glass. This is round in feel with peppery wild berries and cooling acidity. It finishes with medium length and a primary concentration as violet and lavender tones slowly fade. (Eric Guido, Vinous, January 2024)

It’s been years and years since I’ve had Van Duzer. Definitely better than I remember, if a bit too rich. Dark cherry, framboise, and cassis. Helps to drink it outside after heavy rains to grab that forest floor I am missing.

Cherry, raspberry, cranberry, dusty leather, vanilla and oak. Great structure and soft tannins.

Compared to other 2011s a little lackluster - maybe needs some time
