This was full of complex red fruits and smokey, leathery earth that made for knock-out aroma and flavor. And somehow, this is brilliantly fresh and balanced--don't ask me where they're hiding the 17% abv! Like Italy's island answer to chateauneuf du pape but more alive. Consumed over two days. Was funky on the first and some carbonation but opened beautifully and showed salinity, green olive and dark fruits. Like being in the Mediterranean.
