Yes! This is magical Pinot noir. So much happening here and it’s tight - could go longer. (June 2021) New leather and dried cherries. Apple and earthy. Dates, ripe plums, and powerful iron rich soil.

This is how you feel when you wear a new pair of shoes.

Young wine that is delicious now but will only get better with some bottle aging. Really nice purity of fruit.

Patz & Hall 2004 Chenoweth Ranch Pinot Noir. Wow that smells good. Deep blackberry, crushed spice, root beer - still very youthful but certainly drinking well. I'll hide mine for another 5 years.

Chenoweth Ranch is on Green Valley Road in an idyllic location south of the Russian River. Patz and Hall have done a good job at letting the grapes do their work. Normally a fan of coastal Pinot, this is one of my favorites from the RRV.
