[The Original Ungrafted] Colchagua Valley Carménère

Big fan. Great price, $10. Earthy, bright berry, green bell pepper, pepper spice, iron, crushed rocks. Reminiscent of Loire Cab Franc. Really fun.

Intense black fruits and bell pepper. Solid value wine.

Nicely balanced - plum, dark berries, a bit spicy - Carmenere wine from Chile. Enjoy it on its own or with some food.

Huge pepper, spice, green peppers. Slightly hits the tip of the tongue with pepper. Mid palate slight bell pepper earthiness. Very nice!

Earthy and tingly. Definitely notes of new world fruit, bell pepper and heavy on the minerals. The barrel caresses the bouquet; wooden notes on the finish. A fine example of a carmeñere.

Retails for $12 - spice aromas; dark fruit flavors and nicely balanced. Pair with beef ribs or a tenderloin. Drinks nicely on its own.

Tones of pyrazin

Deep black red.
Scents was ink, iron, bacon, blackberry wild berry, jam, beef, black pepper, oil, mint, chocolate, coffee.
Light sweet and juicy acidic attack, fresh and young, easy bitterness, nuance of iron and blackberry. Easy style.

VA is way out of line - reminds me of a oily rags. Packaging is nice, unfortunately that's about it.
