Stags Leap District Cabernet Franc

I am biased Cab Franc lover. This one ranks up there.

Dark fruit. Currant. "Burnt sugar". Some red fruit on the palate. Vanilla. Round yet bright with medium + acidity. Long finish. Had with smoked lamb and rosemary fingerling potatoes.

As lovely as the tasting. Served with a tasty ribeye.

On the nose tobacco, palate leather and blackberry

Wow!! Best holiday wine - red fruits, roses, only slightly vegetative. Perfect.

Rich core of fruit, plush, silky texture, surprising dusty tannins. Gave it a pretty long decant and it was quite accessible now. Very, very tasty.

Green

Fresh Violets, raspberry, cherry, sage. round with good acid and plush tannins! Happy 4th of July!

I can’t pin point the one thing that makes me love cab franc, because it’s everything.
