Dark dark Ruby - call it black. From the ripe 2010 vintage. Black fruits, mulberry, anise, herbs - very full bodied, very Barossa and very Penfolds. At least 10 to 15 years in front of it. As HH said undoubtedly a warm climate style, and it’s so true. On the palate ripe plum, blackberry and liquorice. Oak not as prominent as in previous tastings. Next one in mid 2025.

Not near as oaky as the one I tasted earlier this year. Also the tannins have softened markedly. Blackberry and other black and blue fruits with liquorice and herbal notes. I have 4 left and should drink one every 2 years until 2030. A multi regional blend from South Australia.

Very oaky on nose and palate. Far more oaky than the Syrahmi Heathcote X Shiraz I had prior to this. Ripe plums, dark chocolate and a little black pepper from a good vintage in the Barossa. This is the first of 6 bottles and will probably have one every 2 years until the early 2030s. A pity the oak is still so prominent after 12 years because the fruit was excellent - just smothered by mocha. Many will still like the style however.

Deep purple in color with a short purple rim.

Dry and very fruity on the palate with medium acidity.

Showing black currants, cooked plums, figs, spices, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs and peppercorn.

Nice finish with fine tannins and bitter herbs.

This is a very tasty Shiraz from Australia. Still young and will drink better in 5 years.

Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime.

Big, extracted and rich, with mild complexity.

A nice sipping wine, and good with BBQ Meats too.

Dark fruits , with a leather , spice finish . Very good

Deep Ruby in colour. Sweet rich blackberry notes as well as liquorice and chocolate aromas. Rich sweet and full bodied from this warm Barossa vintage- a solid core of ripe black fruits which will keep this wine maturing for years. That solid core of fruits, after 13 years is starting to fragment and give this lovely earthy red and black fruited perfume - still a long way to go into the early 2030s. The first of 4 bottles in my cellar. Next in a few years.

On the palate ripe blackberry, plum and dried cherry flavors with cacao, espresso and black pepper. Fine ripe tannins, well balanced with acidity, long finish ending with fruit and spice, very nice! Drinking well now!

This is a big bold wine, very tannic with a long peppery finish at first then smooths out nicely when decanted. Paired great with pasta and red sauce.

Good value with aging potential.
