Gabare Chinon Cabernet Franc

Picked a true gem on International Cabernet Franc Day! Beautiful refined cabernet franc aroma without wild yeast run amok. Red fruit, tomato, camphor, and pencil shavings. Tart berries, gravel, and stone. Slightly more body than I am used to. Higher ABV for a Loire cabernet franc but does not taste boozy at all. Dusty tannins and a medium-length bitter chocolate finish. Looking forward to taste this side-by-side with their other cuvee's.

Black and red currants, Tomato vine and crushed stones. Fresh acidity and a moderate grainy grip that encapsulate the fresh currant toned fruit and a stoney canvas through a solid lenght

Classic Chinon. Black olives, pencil lead, graphite and bell pepper skin. Elevated acidity. Well made!

Wet forest floor x1000. And leather. Paired with two courses of foraged morels - absolutely perfect.

Vintage 2013 - purple rim, half transparant colour, nice true to type cab franc smell with raspberry and violets, a very lively and refined taste. Made of 40 y old vines and 35 hl/ha yield. #chinon #cabernetfranc #loveit

Bright red fruit, leather and striking acidity reminds me more of Sangiovese than cab franc, but still a tasty drink.

Super pretty fresh deep franc fruit

A little Flintstone vitamin along with some forest and sour cherry. Good weight, tannin and acid.

Rich and elegant. Cocoa notes and deep dark fruits. Medium bodied. Nice finish!
