Decanted for 5 hours, gorgeous wine. Polished mouthfeel, quite elegant, blue fruited, with a peppery streak and a meaty, funky finish. Needs time to come together, but a beauty nonetheless.

This is some damn impressive Saint Joseph. It has all of the expected blackberry and smokey goodness atop resonating notes of mushroom grit and blackboard eraser. A true standout in this appellation.
