Barolo Nebbiolo

Ruby with a bouquet of fruit, spices, leather and licorice. On the palate flavors of cherry and strawberry with notes of pepper, smoky tobacco, herbs and cacao. Long finish, nice balance with fine soft tannins ending with earthy sweet notes. Good now!

Decanted less than an hour but still strutted its stuff during a sloppy Knicks first playoff win: rose petals, ripe red cherries, autumnal leaves, all folded into an elegant fine tannin & medium bodied, svelte charmer.

So lithe- & so young. Decant the heck of it. Very delicate confluence of Barolo flavors- where is that 14.5%? Lovely roses, tar.

Punches so far above it’s price point it’s absurd. Perceptible oak but elegantly integrated with generous dusty cherry fruit. A barolo that is enjoyable young and pnp. Edit: subtracted 0.2 for the whipping headache afterwards

4-5 hour decant at first thought barely opened this quality Barolo but in glass we got some preview of its future majestic state. Initially utterly sealed on the nose. Very strong tannins still need integration & the perfumed rose & Black fruits were coaxed out by much glass swirling. So not complete infanticide but kinda close. Still fascinating though to glimpse the inner power of a developing Barolo

Good structure, notes of fig, plum, roses and spices

Classic. Tart cherry, bitter balance. Mineral. Dusty tannins

Great time to drink this wine.

Very well made, much less new oak than previous vintages, non-intervention wine making. Fuller style, very young and long life ahead.
