Mineral, oak and a bit of bret on the nose. Pretty good acid balance with the fruit. Not overly oaked and not trying to be a butter bomb. Short clean finish. Not deeply complex.

The first of the 2021 Chardonnay's from the Santa Cruz mountains. It doesn't give up much on the nose - bit of oak and very mild butter aromas. A warm fall seems to have led to low acid and medium-high alcohol. Doesn't have the character of their 2018 but a pleasant drink.

The wines from this winery are not all that great, and highly overpriced......with that said, this is the best wine the winery offers, but this Chardonnay is overmatched at it’s price point to other Chards from other regions. Comparative in price, it might get a 5.0 out of 10. A good wine, if cost wasn’t a factor.....but far better Chards out there for the same or lesser cost!!!

Butter with a haunting presence of acidity....like a poltergeist of high ph. Weighing in at a whopping 14.7%, this wine was a cool local treat to experience.
