Saturated garnet. Energetic, finely etched red fruit and floral scents pick up smoky mineral, blood orange and baking spice flourishes with air. In a lively style, showing excellent clarity and spicy lift to the juicy raspberry, mulberry and cherry cola flavors. Puts on weight with air, with no loss of energy, and finishes impressively long and precise, the floral and spice notes repeating. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2022)

Merry Christmas. This one is drinking beautifully. Some sentimental value to boot for me but remembering lovely Christmas past

Raspberry, cherry, cranberry, baking spices, medium plus acidity. The wine was a bit off on the first day but when I opened up again on day 2 the wine was singing. The 2017 should be sat down for a few years boy it’s a lovely wine.

A lovely balanced Pinot for an unbalanced Oscars so white night. Surprisingly rich and deep berries but with so much fun spice. Methinks maybe this spent some time in a wee bit of new oak too—but mainly I love the white pepper and baking spice fun on it.

Currently a bit muted upon opening, the 2011 Beaux Freres ‘Willamette Valley’ Pinot Noir needs more than a one hour decant prior to enjoying at this juncture. Once aroused this awakens to beautiful citrus tones and red fruit aromatics that build in the glass. The palate shows a really good texture and roundness with delicate pomegranate seed, red cherry candy and blood orange flavors that entice. There his a good elegance to this lighter style Pinot Noir. Drinking nicely now, this has another six plus years of life left. Drink 2019-2026- 92

Really tight, at first... searing acidity. Mellowed after a while. #lastglassbest

Super-sappy and sinewy, and loaded with cherry and lavender. If there was a forest floor flavor of hard candy, this wine would be the model. I love how Beaux Freres manages to be both crowd-pleasing and wine nerd stimulating. Also, Wine Spectator scored this wine 89 points, which is kind of sad and makes me embarrassed for them.

Bigger in still than I remember, could use a few more years of aging to lower alcohol. Delicious!!
